This permit not valid unless permittee at all times, has in his/her possession rods, reels, line, bait and/or lures, hooks, sinkers and terminal gear for bait or lures.

 

IMPORTANT: PRIOR TO INITIAL USE OF PERMIT,

PERMITTEE MUST SIGN REVERSE SIDE OF PERMIT.

VEHICLE USE FEE MUST BE PAID DURING HOURS OF COLLECTION.

 

CAUMSETT  FISHING  PERMIT

 

This permit allows holder to-drive to and from the fishing parking area ONLY.  Vehicular traffic is prohibited in all other areas of park. 15 MPH speed limit and all stop signs must be observed.

 

This permit is valid for bonafide sport fishermen who have fishing equipment, bait and/or lures ONLY.  Permit holder may be required to show fishing equipment at park upon request.

 

This permit is valid for vehicle bearing license plate number as indicated ONLY and is non-transferable (to another person or vehicle).

 

Open fires, picnicking, camping, swimming, surfboarding, use of other watercraft, skindiving, fishing nets, spear-fishing, pets and alcoholic beverages are strictly PROHIBITED.

This permit is valid only during hours and days specified by the Park Manager.

There will be NO replacements or refunds for lost, stolen and/or revoked permits.

This permit is issued on the condition that the permittee shall be responsible for any damage to park property or facilities which may result from the use thereof.  The said permittee assumes all risks and shall hold harmless the State of New York and the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation from suits or damages for injury, including death, or property damage arising out of activities undertaken pursuant to this permit.  Violation of any condition of this permit or of any rule of OPRHP or the Long Island State Park Region may result in the immediate revocation of this permit (NO REFUND) and possible issuance of a summons. This permit is non-transferable.
